Elephant Rainbow, 2016
DSLR Camera, Adobe Photoshop
I had been fascinated by the way that paint spread through a water cup when I was cleaning my brushes. To explore this diffusion of color, I created Elephant Rainbow using a light box, a DSLR camera, a glass of water and food coloring. I edited it in Adobe Photoshop, letting the piece evolve as I thought of new ideas. I adjusted the hue / saturation, brightness and copied the single glass nine times to create this collage.
